12/2/21 After the adventure to Sky Pond, I had just enough time before dark to drive up to Bear Lake, one of the iconic tourist spots in the park. Another picturesque frozen lake.
1 Walking up to Bear Lake in the dim light.
2 Panorama of Bear Lake. There's a trail going all the way around the lake, and I have just enough time before dark to try it. It was somewhere around here that I accidentally dropped my phone, and it went sliding across the ice out onto the lake. Fortunately, I was able to quickly retrieve it, but that could have been bad.
3 Looking back from the far end of the lake.
4 Almost all the way around. Unfortunately, it was time now to start heading back to town.
5 Driving out of Rocky Mountain National Park on my way back to Denver via Boulder. Huge meadows with snow capped mountains in the distance. This whole area must be amazingly green in the Spring. I need to get back here again soon!
