Successful Summit

Foiled by a snowstorm last time, I was determined to successfully summit Mt. San Jacinto in the snow via the famous Cactus to Clouds route. Definitely one of my more difficult treks yet. 22 miles and almost 11,000' of total elevation gain.

Stage I- Cactus

4/12/11 Cactus To Clouds is really two treks in one. This is the first half (desert/sand/cactus) of my first sucessful C2C summit.

4/12/11 The second half (alpine/snow/clouds) of my first C2C summit. There's probably not too many places where you can experience such extremes in one day.
