2/23/18 Dad introduced me to a great new trail that heads towards Blue Water Canyon and Tenaja Falls from the Murrieta side of the Santa Anas. 12 miles of great single track without seeing another human all day!
1 Beautiful single track with overhead coverage almost the entire way.
2 Reminds me alot of some of my favorite trails in the Santa Monica mountains. Except there is noone on this one. Definitely one of the best trails in the Santa Ana mountains.
3 Surprised to see so many ferns in the Santa Ana mountains, especially in such a dry year.
4 Still some water in the creek.
5 Trail was a little overgrown in places, but never too hard to follow.
6 Tenaja Falls. My first time here actually. Not much more than a wet streak right now, but must be pretty good size in a really wet year.
7 Another look at the falls.
8 Top of the falls.
9 Dad's pic of of me at the top of the falls.
10 Grainy but cool selfie of us back at the trailhead just before dark. A great day on the trail!
