Lower McCloud Falls. Not too tall, but lots of water, and a great way to start the trail.
Beautiful single track along the McCloud River.
Next it's on to Middle Falls.
Classic Pacific Northwest. Roaring cascades flowing through old growth forest.
Middle McCloud Falls. Unquestionably one of the more picturesque falls I've encountered. Though not huge, it is absolutely postcard perfect.
I scramble over some rocks to get a closer view.

A deer in the parking lot as we head out. I don't think we could have picked a better hike for getting a quick sample of the Shasta area.
