Mammoth Cave National Park

An East Coast trip gave me the chance for a quick detour to Mammoth Cave National Park, home of the largest cave system in the world. 420 miles (and counting) of truly mammoth caves.

Historic Entrance

2/23/22 The first tour of the day was the 2 hour Historic Tour through the original cave entrance that has been used for thousands of years.

Domes and Dripstones

2/23/22 The second tour of the day was another 2 hours, this time the Domes and Dripstones tour, which is a more newly discovered area of the cave system.

Diamond Caverns

2/23/22 I stopped by Diamond Caverns, a small privately owned cave, on my way out of Mammoth NP. It was well worth the stop!
