3/4/21 A nice 10 mile out and back down the Tenaja Trail to the bottom of San Mateo Canyon. Beautiful singletrack still wet and green from rain the day before.
1 Heading down Tenaja Canyon, one of several creek crossings that would probably have some water in a wetter year.
2 We saw a few of these cool Salamander looking things.
3 Miles of fantastic singletrack, perfect weather, and we only saw a few people all day.
4 One of the best spots on the trail.
5 Dad's photo of me at the same spot.
6 A little bit of rock hopping along the way.
7 Dad surveying our destination at the bottom of San Mateo Canyon.
8 Dad taking in the view along the creek about a mile and a half past Fisherman's Camp. This would be our turnaround spot for the day.
9 I hopped across the creek for a second to check out the junction of the San Mateo and Tenaja trails on the other side.
10 Late afternoon light as we head back up the canyon.
11 Made it back to the trailhead in time for BBQ dinner in town!
